Sacred Heart recognized for its generosity!
The Most Reverend Gregory J. Hartmayer, OFM Conv., Archbishop of Atlanta commended the dedicated leadership of all parish clergy and staff for a successful Archbishop’s Annual Appeal last year. He especially congratulated Sacred Heart of Griffin and 34 other parishes listed for a particularly successful and effective appeal.
Sacred Heart was #2 out of all the parishes in the archdiocese for achieving the highest percentage of household participation in the 2025 Archbishop’s Annual Appeal. This impressive level of engagement underscores the widespread commitment of many Sacred Heart households to unite in giving to support their parish and the appeal.

Education & Resources
Religious Education for Children
CCD classes resumed in August and is held every Sunday at 10:15 am. Please make sure your child/children are registered. Classes are: Kindergarten to 10th grade.
Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA, formerly known as RCIA)
OCIA is the process through which interested adults are gradually introduced to the Roman Catholic faith and way of life.
Classes started on September 24 and are held every Wednesday from 7-8 pm and concluding at the Easter Vigil Service with the Sacraments of Initiation for those who join the church.
